Scott Barlow is the CEO and Accounting Officer of Aspire Trust, appointed in September 2025.

Scott brings more than two decades of experience in education leadership, with a career rooted in school improvement and strategic development. Prior to stepping into the CEO role, he served as Principal of a high performing secondary school in North Lincolnshire, where he played a pivotal role in driving academic standards and operational success. He has also held governance positions in a number of educational settings and worked for local teaching schools and the Ambition Institute in developing future leaders.

Scott holds a BSc in Education from Sheffield Hallam University and completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2020.

As CEO, Scott is committed to driving ambition and excellence in every school. He works closely with the Aspire Central Team and academy leaders, ensuring every pupil receives a world-class education. His leadership is marked by a deep understanding of school improvement, a collaborative ethos, and a passion for unlocking potential in every learner.
